Skill Visibility

Every skill in Workjet has a visibility setting that controls who can see, find, and install it. Visibility can be changed at any time by the skill's author.

Visibility Levels

Changing Visibility

  1. Open the skill detail view in the desktop app
  2. Click the Visibility dropdown
  3. Select the desired level: Private, Team, or Public
  4. Click Save

Visibility and Publishing

Visibility and publishing are related but distinct:

  • Setting visibility to Public does not automatically publish to the Marketplace
  • You must explicitly click Publish after setting visibility to Public
  • Changing visibility back to Team or Private removes the skill from the Marketplace

Default visibility: New skills are created as Private. Share with your team by changing to Team, or with the community by changing to Public and publishing.

Impact of Visibility Changes

  • Public to Team: Removes the skill from the Marketplace. Users who already installed it keep their copy.
  • Team to Private: Team members lose access. Any running assistants or engines using the skill continue to work (they have a copy of the prompt).
  • Private to Team: All organization members can see and use the skill immediately.
  • Team to Public: The skill becomes eligible for Marketplace publishing.
